Soleil

Details

• Soleil was a surprise child and, quite honestly, an accident. Despite this, both Laslow and Selena were happy to have her, and loved her just as much as they would had she been a bit more planned out. Both parents were loathe to leave her in a deeprealms as their own pasts left them parentless during their teenage years, but had no choice in the matter due to war and their own duties. She was visited often as she grew up, both parents spending as much time as possible in her deeprealms, often staying with her for a few years at a time.
  Because she was never certain when (or if) she would see them again, she has become very protective over her parents and is quite attached to them.
  
  She left her own Deeprealms to form a mercenary group, posing as their always-smiling leader, eventually found by her father to help in their fight.
  
  Once the dust had settled, Soleil began helping around the castle by doing odd jobs for her parents and their Lieges, and got closer to Xander's son Siegbert, who she had spent some time with during the way. Over time she began assisting Siegbert over the others, and started to consider herself as his retainer, although it was Siegbert himself who proposed the idea to his father.
  
  Many nobles, including some of the royal family, were a bit hesitant towards the idea of her as a retainer at first, seeing as, personality-wise, she was almost an identical copy of her father. However, Soleil works as a wonderful counterbalance to the boy's personality, and works to break him out of his shell and getting him to relax. In one event she takes a blow that was intended for Siegbert, leaving her with a scar that reaches from her left side, nearly to her back, reaching to underneath her left breast. It was a deep enough gash where the only thing that saved her was a nearby healer. Not only did this cause her to be viewed in a different light, but it steeled her resolve to protect her liege with her life.

• Personality

  In personality, Soleil is very flirtatious. She has a heavy preference for women, often going into town to chase ladies and people-watch. A successful day is one in which she has convinced a cute girl to join her for some tea. Soleil also has very little shame and is willing to change clothes whenever - and wherever - she needs to.
  She is more than just a skirt-chaser, though - she is very loyal, charismatic, and is a fantastic swordfighter as well.
  
  Her biggest source of embarrassment is the fact that, despite coming from a family of dancers, she has no sense of rhythm nor can she sing. Despite her best efforts, it's just not something she can do.
